Building new homes for Enfield residents
Enfield Council has committed to an ambitious building programme - investing £1billion in more and better homes (PDF, 2763.5 KB) in response to the national housing crisis. Our target is to deliver 3,500 new homes across the borough. So far, we have delivered 370 new homes in the last 3 years (276 affordable and 94 private sale).
We have also secured a further £167m from the Mayor of London to build 1,120 new council homes from March 2023 to March 2027.
We are delivering Enfield homes for Enfield people in a number of ways - through direct delivery, such as Newstead House and Maldon Road, through council-led development, such as Meridian Water and Joyce and Snell’s, and also in partnership with developers, such as Countryside at Alma and New Avenue.
Bury Street West (Sayersbury Way)
